Char Broil Charcoal Grill

Char Broil is one of the best known producers of grills for outdoor grilling and related products. This is a reliable producer with a reliable line of gas and charcoal grills. Here I'll talk a bit about char broil charcoal grill grilling options.

In general, I like this line of charcoal grills a lot. They are very different in style from that of other close competitors on charcoal grills, weber charcoal grill. On other hand, they do not have the typical form of Weber kettle. In contrast, Char Broil Grill is a rectangular charcoal grill, allowing a slightly larger total surface of the cooking surface. Moreover, these grills typically include adjustable charcoal grate for versatility and adjusting heat as well as an easy gateway to the charcoal tends to its coal briquettes to add or move around the heat source while cooking .

As I see it, here are some of the pros and cons of the Char-Broil grill line:

Pros

Rugged, heavy duty steel body with a weather resistant of powder coated finish - They are very hardy and last a long time if well cared for.

Built in hood thermometer - all Char Broil charcoal grills have a built in thermometer to check cooking temperature is right and not too hot or cold.

Adjustable Charcoal grate - This allows you to raise or lower the coal to get closer or farther away from food to adjust the amount of high direct heat it receives.

Charcoal access door - This is very useful for an easier access to the coal, even after you have started cooking. You can move the coals or add coals as needed. Many other charcoal grills do not have this feature found on the Char Broil grill.

Large work area - the rectangular grill grate is large enough to gives ample space to cook all your meals at the same time for a big party. This is particularly true for CB940X and Santa Fe models are a bit larger than the leading competitor, the Weber 22-1/2 "kettle grill. The large size is especially useful for indirect heat grilling and have enough space to have two large piles of coal on both sides with plenty of room in the middle of your roast meat or poultry.

Optional Rotisserie - Char-Broil has recently created an optional motorized rotisserie that fits most of their grills and can be connected to these Char Broil charcoal grill units.

Cons

Of great size - These are not very "portable" grills. Despite having wheels to facilitate movement in your backyard, you can not easily move long distances. Moreover, since the interior of the grid is large, these grills require a fairly large amount of charcoal to get the whole kitchen area to the heat of cooking. This is fine if you regularly cook for large groups of people or have a large appetite. However, if you are cooking for one or two, you will waste a lot of charcoal in each cooking session.

So here is a little more information about the different models currently available in the Char Broil charcoal grill line:
